Remove Window
Hi, I would love to remove a window in my bedroom. It is the only wall I have to put my bed against. I wouldn't have mind if the window was in the smack center but it's off centered to the left side of where my headboard would be. I have a larger one on the other side so I still will have light coming through. Is this something that will cost a lot of money to do? I would think the exterior is where is gets costly.

Why not just have the bed block the window, and not worry about removing it? If you're concerned about the light shining right on you, you could always put the room darkening curtains up.

Closing the window itself is very easy and not expensive. Do you have siding on the other side? If the siding is fairly new, then they should be able to get the same exact siding and match it easily.
We closed up a door and it was less expensive to do that than to replace the door with a new one.

The lighting doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that the window is off centered. So the window would be behind the person sleeping on the left side of the bed, if that makes sense. Its just awkward looking. And it's not a long window, it's a rectangular size.

We JUST did this in our new house. Same scenario, window was on wall where we wanted to put our bed. Our contractor closed up the window and we replaced the siding on the outside.
We also added a rectangular picture window above where our bed is so we still get light in. I LOVE it!!!! and you can never tell there was a regular frame window there.
I have to find a picture and will post it.

We have gross 1990's glass block on the back wall of our kitchen that I am dying to get rid of. It is on either side of our sliding door. I'd love to get rid of that if it doesn't cost a fortune. Let me know if this is something you can give me an estimate on when the time comes. It's not a lot of glass block

If it's too costly, you can center a curtain to hide it and pretend it's a large window.
