Any ideas for a boy bday party? Bored with the usuals
My DS 7th birthday is coming. He wants it at one of the bounce places but we were there twice last month, once this month and now once again already next month with all the same kids. I'm trying to steer him in a different direction. I would even have it at home if it was something cool. I have done the big inflatable water slide and Adventureland. Any ideas? No bowling.

We had the video game truck for my older DS, which they totally loved. We also had other parties at the Vanderbilt planetarium and Chuck E Cheese. My boys really enjoy parties at the movie theater too.

We just went to a Nerf gun party at The Sports Hub in Syosset and it was so much fun, even my 3 year old had a blast.

Ninja Warrior Party. There's a legit obstacle training place in Deer Park that may do parties - or a lot of gymnastics places do Ninja Warrior themed parties.

I had my son's 7th bday at an environmental center where they take out animals, do a craft & go for a nature walk.
Also, nerf places & roller skating

Would a 5 year old be too young for this?

These are all good ideas. Thanks so much! I didn't even know about nerf gun parties or Ninja warriers or fencing. I'm going to look into it all.

Re: Any ideas for a boy bday party? Bored with the usuals
My DS is 9 -
Last year we did Island Rock in Plainview and it was awesome! It's a rock-climbing place.
We did United Skates one year - my son likes to roller blade - very loud and chaotic but kids love it.
We've done sports parties - twice at LI Sports Complex in Freeport (but I know other places, like Sporttime do similar parties).
I agree that the American Ninja Warrior type parties are very popular.
Nerf gun parties are also popular - we've been to a couple at the place in the basement of Tri-County Flea Market and others at sports places.
Also there is RPM Speedway in Farmindgale - go-karts racing. But I know it's pricey and kids have to be over 6 and at least 4 feet tall (so not great if you have a bunch of younger kids).
Monster Golf in Deer Park is another popular place.. glow in the dark mini-golf plus arcade games.

DS's friend had a ninja warrior party for his 5th birthday party and they definitely weren't too young.

Not sure where you are at, but we did DS's at Tiki Action Park in Centereach a few years ago. They have go carts, mini-golf and a small arcade (and a lazer maze room.) It was pretty reasonable and the kids seemed to like it.
