Really ?
Shopping with DH on Saturday at Stew Leonard's in East Meadow. We usually go to Farmingdale.
Get to the checkout and all of my reusable shopping bags are gone.
Walked back around the store to see if they fell, nope. No Stew's staff found them. Gone.
Someone stole the bags from under my cart.
I am so pissed. There were like 10 bags in there.
Just another reason why I don't like the East Meadow location.

We shop there pretty often and have never had a bad experience. Is it possible the bags fell off the shopping cart? And even if they were stolen, bad things can happen anywhere. I wouldn't generalize it to the entire store because of one incident.

WTF is wrong with people?!
I’ve been to both locations, East Meadow is much closer I am in Merrick but def prefer the Farmingdale location

Not enough handicap parking.
I don't like the layout of the store, it's a lot more turning corners than the Farmingdale store and that to me makes it feel more crowded even when it is not. It's also a lot noisier because of the high ceilings.
We also know more of the people at the Farmingdale store. The store manager, floor managers, department workers. They are more visible.
I'm just pissed about losing the bags. Most of them were Waldbaums bags that I had forever. They had two sets of handles so I can sling the bags over my shoulder if I wanted too. They were the perfect size and easy to clean.
Oh well. Moving onward.

I am sorry this happened. People just suck. If it helps at all, Best Market has the double handle bags. I know it's not the point but at least you know where you can find them.
