indoor step ladder to reach about 12 feet
I have a motorized shade on a window high up. Batteries have died and we can't reach to change as it is at a cathedral ceiling. My painter changed it last when he painted that room. Can anyone recommend a good not pricey indoor step ladder type? I also want one that doesn't take up room to store as we don't have much storage room.

A ladder so that a 5'+ person can reach 12 feet total, or a 12 foot ladder?
For an adult to comfortably reach 12 feet, you're looking at an 8' ladder.
The Little Giant ladders telescope so they take up less storage space.
Little Giant 5' to 8' step ladder
I have the 6' version of this ladder. It folds down to the size of a 4'x4' x 6 (or 8) feet timber, so it takes up minimal space in my pickup truck. It's popular with RVs, since it doesn't take up much space.

That Little Gian that Goldenrod is the one we have. I got in QVC when it was on sale last year during Christmas time. I think I paid $149 then!

Oh gee, didn't think that I can take up 5 feet. I am really not even sure how high I need to go. It's a cathedral hallway window that can't be reached. It is as high as all the second floor windows in house but on top in the hallway so no access to this. I thought of the little giant too.

Just an FYI - when I needed to change batteries in mine that was two story high, I asked the guys that I hired to clean gutters to do it. I think I paid $20.
