Tonsillectomy scheduling
Does anyone have experience with a toddler having a tonsillectomy? Just wondering how long it takes from sleep study results to scheduling surgery? We've been waiting a few weeks for my 2.5 year old, but the surgeon doesnt have blocked time at the hospital.
We'll be seeing Dr. Mendelsohn tomorrow to see if we can sugery done sooner with him, but not sure if we're wasting our time.
We are currently seeing Dr. Youngerman.

Tonsillectomy scheduling
Well if your experience with Mendelssohn is anything like mine, he’ll probably just squeeze you in tomorrow. He had his staff call me SEVEN times to try to get me to schedule surgery for a very minor tongue tie, telling me my DD would have major issues speaking (she doesn’t. At all).
I would stick with literally anyone but him.

Well if your experience with Mendelssohn is anything like mine, he’ll probably just squeeze you in tomorrow. He had his staff call me SEVEN times to try to get me to schedule surgery for a very minor tongue tie, telling me my DD would have major issues speaking (she doesn’t. At all).
I would stick with literally anyone but him.
OMG I would have freaked
I would have told them to stop calling me or I'd report them for harassment.

I’m an extremely pro-intervention person. I had a freaking elective c-section for crying out loud. Surgery, medicine, all good. So for me to say this my experience had to be BAD.

Wow! Thats insane. I've heard nothing but good things! I'm so sorry you had that experience!

Wow! Thats insane. I've heard nothing but good things! I'm so sorry you had that experience!
Most people love him so you will likely have a perfectly fine experience. But dear Lord I started to think I was being pranked.
I laugh about now but at the time I almost lost it.

Tonsillectomy scheduling
We got our results in July and did the surgery in October. I am the one who chose to put it off a few months though. I think had I pushed to get it done sooner it would have taken about a month from results to surgery.

I had same experience for a tongue tie with DS. Also didn't go through the procedure. It does not affect speech.
