Snow

I’m so sick of the snow. I used to love it so much. But this year, it’s really getting me down. Don’t get me wrong as I love a good snow day inside.

But we have had snow here since November. It has probably snowed about 60 days in total since then. I know I’m at the foot of the Alps, but I have never seen so much snow since I’ve been living here.

And it isn’t even that much snow. But for some reason they can’t even seem to handle 2-3 inches of snow and there are so many obstacles. The plowing is not the best. All public transports seems to slow down. Today is a Saturday and I can’t run out and do my shopping because my car is lousy in the snow (I even get the special winter tires required by law here). Can’t do it tomorrow either because it’s a Sunday and everything is closed.

I also hate summer because of lack of A/C.

This is really just a vent, but any other commiserations?

Re: Snow

Every January and February I ask my husband why we live in New York. We’ve talked about moving out of state a while back, though that move would habe been to Boston, so not much better on the winter front. Actually in that regard, it would be worse.

The only reason we are here is because our families live relatively close and we both have very close relationships with them. I personally just couldn’t move far away and take my children (I have a son and I’m also pregnant) away from my parents. If not for that, we would have relocated for sure.

Snow

Ugh... i would cry with that much snow... I hate NY winters as it is... we are currently relocating to NC. I’ve had enough of the cold but still like my seasons. Just need a much shorter winter. Winter is depressing to me, very depressing. So many gloomy days... bleh!
