It's using wood boards as wall design for basic people whose homes are going to scream "I was an HGTV fangirl/fanboy in 2015" years from now. Like farmhouse sinks.
And those heavy wooden doors that are on a roller - barn doors.

Their Christmas line at Target seemed to do very poorly. All that stuff was still on the shelves on Christmas eve, and it only sold out when it went down to 70 and 90% off. I hope they didn't quit their TV job for that 
I saw that line when it first came to Target. There was a small decorative Christmas tree that looked like, no joke, the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. It was all sparse and skinny. I thought it was a joke.
I can see why the line flopped.
LOVE everything in their line at Target, including the Xmas items. I got a bunch of decorative items for my home for Xmas, I'm so excited!!
I love them, I think they are adorable and they have incredible design sense. Good for them on baby #5. Happy for them.

I love them, and their show. However, I was not a fan of her Target line, nor have I liked anything she did so far this new season. I was disappointed

Same here! And I actually liked shiplap but enough of it already! It's going to run out of steam soon enough and then it's going to be like wood paneling and popcorn ceilings- it's going to look dated.

I llike the shiplap but I don't think they put the shiplap in, most of the time they find it in the house under the Sheetrock. Apparently back in the day it was a common way to build houses where they live.

They also have a line with Pier 1. Maybe they did higher end items for Pier 1 and when Target came knocking they had to give them some more "budget" in style not to compete with themselves

Congrats to them! I really like their designs but I agree with the overuse of the shiplap. I wish them much happiness and success!
