Is Holtsville Ecology Center still charging to get in?
I know there was a post about this a few weeks ago but when I searched that post didn't come up. Shocking.
Does anyone know if they are still charging there?
The website isn't clear.

Is Holtsville Ecology Center still charging to get in?
Based on a previous post, I think the only fee is the parking which is $5
ok yes I just read online:
$5 per car, per day for all visitors to the Ecology Center. This includes Brookhaven residents and non-residents alike.

Yes I know they charge for parking but I know that after a certain month, they don't man the booth anymore and anyone can just drive in for free. We went in April and just drove in.
I was hoping it was Memorial Day to Labor Day but I think I heard it went until Oct.

Yes, I live in Islip so no town sticker.
I know the booth isn't open all year round.
Just trying to figure out when it ends.
I don't want to pay just to go walk the trail. If they are still charging we'll just walk the track up at the school

You can always park outside and walk in... ive done that a few times. I look at it as more exercise lol. Sorry I haven't been there recently to see if they have stopped charging. Been waiting to hear back from others... if they go by this weather, the booth will be manned until December

They charge till Oct. I work out there every Wed. Belmont isn’t charging anymore if you are looking for a trail to walk.

Yes, whole month. Website says "Parking fees apply May through October."

yes, still charge . we went last week. looks like its till nov. im islip too and like to walk the trail. theres a street across the street. park there and its pretty easy to get to the trail.
