Rocking Horse Ranch - reviews

My parents thought they'd surprise us and send us there for a long weekend. Problem is we are pretty booked. They also know we are planning an adult vaca in the winter for our 10 yr anniv and 40th for DH.

Worth going to Rocking Horse in Sept for 2 nights with 2 boys 8 and 6? We don't really ride horses.
Should we put the money towards our trip? We know it's affordable anyway and plan on going away in Nov with the kids too.

Sorry if it's confusing. Just need to figure if it's worth it. Thanks!

I've heard nothing but great things about it! It's on my list of places I'd like to go. It's definitely not cheap, though (not sure if that's what you meant by "affordable"). The prices are per person, per day!

We've been to the RHR. If you love horses and riding, it is great. They have a pool, bungee bounce, camp fire, climbing thing, jungle gym, ping pong, panning for gems, recumbent climber, and mini golf. I am not a horse person so it was ok. The food is good. My in laws took us there. I know it is expensive. If you like horses I would go, but if you already have other vacations planned maybe postpone it. They also have winter activities.
