I've had great luck with Hotwire. And I think we even used Priceline once.

I get the best rentals using the priceline app for iPhone. We just rented and was 6 days for 150.
Orlando can get expensive during certain times though

I usually shop around and then put a lower bid in on Priceline. Have gotten some very good deals that way

I usually use my credit card points for car rentals but I if I don't have enough points, I usually go through BJ's because they have coupon codes.

i go on each site + southwest and get the best price. then i check it a week or 2 before i go, and usually the price goes down more. i call and make sure it gets adjusted

I usually use Dollar city specials in Orlando for the best deals.
I usually lock in and check periodically as the rates change.

I usually look at Costco travel and direct through car site websites. I was just in Orlando and got the best deal with Thrifty direct

We always book with Alamo for florida, using a costco code and coupon code. We check in online and go straight to the car after we arrive.

I just use national or Alamo and try different coupons. Then, if I book in advance, I look again closer to the date.

My parents swear by Autoslasher. They go to Florida every 3 months for about a month at a time and find the best price on a car this way.

I used to buy the Entertainment book.
Otherwise, yes, I Google or log into my accounts and check the travel benefits. The rental company might have coupons on their website. Costco, bjs, visa, amex and other credit cards, AAA usually have coupons. Some companies and Universities have discounted rate codes too.
Another option I never tried, but heard has good prices is booking through undercover tourist. I think if you've bought tickets from them at least once you can use them for car rental bookings.

Amazing website! I've used it quite a few times in the past... and gotten a ton of money taken off of car rentals... love that it alerts you to a lower price without you having to check daily!

I've used Dollar Rent-A-Car out of Orlando. I booked them through Southwest's website.
A tip: about a week or two before you fly, check their rates again. They are usually lower. I've saved a bunch of money by re-booking a few days before my flight.
