5K question
So my goal for 2017 is to run my first 5K....is there a website or something that would show a list of races in suffolk or nassau? Thanks!

a lot of the running stores have a list (i.e. runners edge etc) or long island running club. I would suggest the diva. Its fun and very friendly for new runners.
ETS: I have done that as my first 5k and half.

The Diva 5k was my first last year. It was really fun. This year it is October 1st.
Check out glirc.org They have monthly calendars with runs in Nassau and Suffolk. RaceAwesome is another site to find some local runs.

Also look at the Great LI running club. I jsut joined for $30ish and you get discounts ar running stores and discounts on certain races.
