Hello, I am new here- so not sure if you are up for donating. However, my insurance is not covering my meds now (can explain if you are interested). Anyway, even if the prices were discounted I would be happy to get any- due to you not knowing me, even the recommended pharmacies (kraupners and freedom, etc.) which are great are super expensive. Let me know if it is still available!

what is the protocol for this? I also have meds I would love to donate to someone in true need, but not sure of the rules on here...is there a restriction or anything?

There isn't a protocol but If I were you I would donate to a known poster, because a few years ago there was a woman who was taking donated meds and then selling them.

You can look at their post count if you want, usually if a poster only has 1 or 2 posts I would be weary but it is completely up to you!

BTW that is so generous of you to donate your meds.

Re: IVF Meds - Does Anyone Need?

thanks! I will do that.

we have been super blessed with (1) having good insurance, that has covered our procedures, and meds. And now even more blessed since I'm just shy of 34 weeks pregnant, and we were able to get pregnant naturally after my DR caught that I had endometriosis, I had surgery in January and we got pregnant on our own shortly after. I only wish I had more to donate, but some of what we had stored just expired.

That's horrible. That ruins the whole integrity of the board. I'd be so upset if I found out someone sold meds that were donated.

Ick!

I am a fairly new poster- as I was encouraged to check this site out recently. I have been a patient of Dr. Trivax's at RSNY and waiting to start a new cycle any day now (without any insurance left- first try took everything with Caremark being super pricey)! Let me know if you feel like donating - or selling at a discount (not sure if that is legal to discuss here though). I am dreading the $80/4 vials of menopur, etc. for many nights in a row (on top of the other meds I will need that seem as expensive- through Kraupners)... Anyway- understood if you would like to know it's a regular poster- but I could show current statements from RSNY if you need to see evidence! :)

FYI, to hmm

Hi, As I mentioned I am currently a patient at RSNY- and was encouraged to go on this site by a physician I had a consult with (at RMA). I also mentioned I would pay (as it seems you were scammed- and that's why you don't take "new people"). I mentioned I would show my current bills (I would also show drivers license) to prove I am not going to sell anything. I had no bad intent and am a little insulted by this seeming assumption. I have already spent about $8k on menopur for myself for a cycle with a genetically good embryo that did not work (previous cycle was only a retrieval- no transfer - as embryo was not chromosomally okay). I splurged for genetic testing not understanding that my insurance only used Caremark (with United) and used up all my meds the first IVF try. I am now on my third- and going broke doing this.

I am sorry if just being here a few weeks has made you suspicious- that was not my intent to make you feel that way. I explained my cause in my initial post. I am just somebody who would like to continue with this- without being financially tied (my paychecks were going to all the drugs last cycle).

I feel silly having to explain myself- but I feel as though my authenticity may have been questioned- so.... (and since a doctor did advise me to go here- for this purpose- I did- but also like the community since I am going through the same thing as so many- and am not speaking with all friends about this...)...

I don't live on these forums so I can't agree or disagree either way. I definitely appreciate the info offered up by the previous poster about being wary of scammers. I'm not asking for any profit for the meds I do have since I'm fortunate enough to have really good insurance, so if I can pay it forward in some way that's what I hope to do...God Bless
