Joining you!
Hi everyone! I just got my BFP today (first on a wondfo and then confirmed on a digital). Based on my last period I would be due March 11 or so.
I'm assuming that calling my doctor before Tuesday won't get me very far because of the holiday, but can anyone tell me what to expect at my first appt? Is this one where my husband would want to go?

Congratulations!
If they are doing a sono to date the pregnancy, he might want to go to hear the heartbeat. So, find out when you do that. My Dr seems to do the sono 7 weeks or later. Otherwise, they just do urine, bloodwork and give me a packet of stuff to read through.

Thanks! So then I will specifically ask what they will be doing then, since if they are doing a sono I'm sure my husband will want to be there.

At my first OB apt I already had a few ultra sounds with my RE. I heart the heart beats at 6 weeks. My first OB, we reviewed all my testing from the RE, got info on the genetic tests offered, what to expect for my twin pregnancy, they normally do an ultra sound too, we are having ours done this Tuesday rather than at the 8 week appointment (only because we had one just a few days prior at the RE) normally they would do it. My husband came with me and felt very informed with all the info we went over and he got to ask all his questions

My doctor typically starts seeing new maternity patients at 8 weeks (with my history of miscarriages, he saw me earlier).
At the first appointment, he does a sonogram, a lot of blood work, a pelvis exam with pap, a breast exam, and was given a run down of what to expect in terms of prenatal care and tests they recommend. My DH did not come.

Welcome! They usually do a sono and you hear the heartbeat, so I would bring your DH along. Such an exciting moment!

Yes, I brought DH along to the first appt at 7w3d. They did a sonogram and we heard/saw the heartbeat. It was incredible! Good luck and a healthy and happy 9 months!
