ideas for a 9-to-5 "date day" from western nassau

For our anniversary, DH and I will be taking a day off work for a "date day" while LO is in daycare. we will be in western nassau/eastern queens. i dont mind heading into the city, but that travel time will eat into whatever day activities we plan. we need to be back by 5pm.

any ideas? i have a few ideas in my head, but nothing is really jumping out at me.

This is an awesome idea, I would probably do a nice brunch/lunch w some drinks and maybe a spa ?

we'd probably go to a movie and spend the rest of the day at an outdoor restaurant/bar enjoying the leisurely time and sunshine with some drinks.

Whenever we do this, we see a movie. That's the one thing that we really miss doing since we've had kids. And lunch beforehand.
