Gift ideas for a 6 year old who loves art
My daughter loves art, coloring, drawing. She has enough markers, crayons and colored pencils to open an art studio. I'm looking for other ideas that I may not have thought of for her 6th birthday coming up.

I would get the frame that displays art.
My DC love to paint. We have an easel (table top because who has the space for all that stuff?). When we do our "masterpieces" seasonally, we frame them & hang them like art in our dining room. The look of a fancy frame really looks awesome & people "oooo and ahhhh". Kids love it!
With that, I'd do one that makes it easy to switch out art. I saw one & didn't want to spend $$$ (but I will soon).

Easel? My son loves it - Also, a TON of that really large paper, not the roll, just the huge sheets, he likes that much better.
Stickers -
glitter stickers (all the bling, none of the disaterous mess) etc.
What about stringing beads to make jewlery?

I have a lot of ideas:
-spin art
-spirograph
-perler beads
-learning how to sew kits
-jewelry beads to make necklaces or bracelets
-watercolor crayons (these are soooo awesome, they are like crayons, but then you use water on them like watercolor paint, it makes for great artwork)
-and i saw some awesome starter pottery sets but the boxes said 8+ but if she loves art, i'm sure you could start a little earlier...
also:
there are two websites, don't remember them off the top of my head but i am sure you can find them
1. where they make a stuffed animal identical to a drawing your child made (it can be of anything, but they bring it to life)
2. stickers and magnets and stationary that gets printed with your childs artwork on it.
she might really like those!!

Art camp?
There are so many on long island. Check out the art league of long island. There is a great one in great neck.
I'm getting into giving experiences rather than things so that's my suggestion.

Yes, there's one in Sayville too (Mini Monet). We tried it last yr but DS1 was having some separation anxiety so it didn't really work for us then.

Crashing....take her to Artrageous for the day! My niece is the same age and we had the best time!! It is in Rockville Centre, it is one of those ceramic places where you paint what you pick out. Also if you don't finish your project you can go back as many times as you need. We love it there for something different :)
