what can i send someone thats in the hospital
my cousin is in the hospital. he severely hurt his leg at work and has been in for a couple weeks now and will be in there for a while longer.
I would love to send him something not sure what. any ideas? I don't want flowers or edible arrangements. maybe something to keep him busy? I don't know if anything like that exists; I just don't know what else to for him

Maybe books of a genre or author he enjoys?
Magazines?
Portable DVD player and some movies?

Honestly - when I was sick and recovering, someone sent me a Lego set...a small one that was the DeLorean from Back to the Future and it was SO COOL and fun and different. It kept me occupied for a couple of hours.

Oh! One more thing. One of those adult coloring books and some markers or colored pencils. They have tons of cool ones - not all of them are really flowery and stuff.
It is SUCH a good, therapeutic outlet. You really feel relaxed after you do a bit of coloring!

Reading material, adult coloring books.
When I was in the hospital and rehab, I liked having a little bit of chocolate to snack on.

I totally agree with this! I was recently in the hospital and someone gave them to me...best gift ever!!!! Kept me busy, took my mind off everything and I was so proud of my artwork hehe :)

thanks for the suggestions do you think there are any services that do this or do I have to buy it and ship it myself? he is in a hospital in the city not sure when I will be able to get to him

Look up the hospital's visitor page - they should have info or a phone number you could call to find out about delivering things.
I sent a bunch of stuff to Sloan and used Amazon with no problems.

YES!! This is what I was going to suggest too.
ETA: You may be able to send via Amazon. When I was in a hospital in Philly, people were able to send me Amazon packages to my room.
