Thanks for sharing! We don't host Thanksgiving,but usually end up with the free turkey at ShopRite that we never take because it's only us and our 4-year-old. This year we'll donate it!

So happy people responded to this.post. Dh and I are from military families and this charity is very near and dear to our hearts. They are small but they make such a difference because the food actually makes it into veterans hands.

Tx for posting this, never knew about them. They need regular help of donated hot meals on Tuesdays, I signed up for next week and it looked like a decent turnout for Thanksgiving donations on Saturday. They are collecting again this week. Hope they do well.

My Dh discovered this charity a couple of years ago and because it's small he likes it because he knows where our contributions are going to. I follow them on fb and try to donate whenever we can.

They are a great organization!
Last year they had an event where you bought (optional) supplies (snacks, canned goods, candy, toiletries, etc) and helped package them up for the troops over seas. By the time it ended, there were over 1500 boxes of supplies! It was an amazing event!

They are having it this year too. I was planning on posting for it after the holidays. It's going to be in either Jan or Feb. It was just posted on fb.
