Atlantic Nissan...horrible...I had such a bad experience when buying a car I almost had to call the police...stay away, total scumbags.

I actually found buying a car to be the most horrible experience ever. I would rather buy and sell 10 houses then buy a car.

Great Neck Nissan is pretty good. I got my car there a year and half ago and my mom has gotten about 4 cars. We've only dealt with the manager Stacey, who is wonderful, but I can't comment on the rest of the salespeople.

Re: NISSAN DEALERSHIPS

what you'll find is a good majority are actually owned by the same car group. I bought mine in riverhead and my dad in bought his in Roslyn.
I had a bad experience in Massapequa.

I don't like Massapequa Nissan - they use that four square worksheet to confuse the hell out of you. And are ridiculously obnoxious with sales calls.

I also won't deal with any Atlantic dealership. Shady.

I have used three Nissan dealers over the years and I agree that Huntington, by far, was the best.

HATE Massapequa Nissan. They're the worst. I have good experiences in advantage Nissan in Hicksville, and I have a salesmen that my husband has gone to for like 10 years at star Nissan in bayside.

Massapequa and Atlantic Nissan are owned by the same group. I agree, stay FAR, FAR, FARRRRRRR away from both of them!

Re: NISSAN DEALERSHIPS

I don't like the one in Patchogue...they were adding in charges that weren't discussed and they weren't interested in talking to my husband and I (we were young at the time) but when we walked into Smithtown, they had plenty of the vehicle we were interested in and got us into exactly what we wanted at the price we wanted.

Is that when they talk in payments and not the price of the car without even knowing your credit history? I lost my mind in Massapequa. I told them I'd rather stick a hot poker in my eye then ever step foot in there again.

nissan 112 - sales is good but finance puts a ton of extra charges in the fine print and you get screwed.

We had a terrible experience there, too. It's really all about the sales person you happen to get, in many cases. We wound up buying my Murano from Nemet in Queens because they had the exact model I wanted. 12 years ago I bought my Altima in Huntington and had a good experience there, too.

This is true, I think it depends on the salesperson. We had a good experience at Smithtown, but Huntington basically lied to me on the phone to get me in the door...I would never go back there. And don't even get me started on Massapequa....

I ended up speaking to a manager and walking out after waiting an hour and a half ! My mom just wanted to SIT in 3 diff cars to get a feel. Not even test drive. 1st salesman left us outside in the cold for 20 minutes after the 1st car only to see him sitting at his desk with other customers!!! I completely lost my shit!

Re: NISSAN DEALERSHIPS

Stay away from Garden City Nissan, I called about a car I wanted on their website and the salesman said they got it and to come in to get it. I was prepared to drive from NJ to GC just to pick it up and a day before going I call again to check with another person there, I found out it's not actually available!

The original salesperson had the gall to call me afterwards to ask if I'm still coming in despite knowing the car I wanted isn't even available! Unbelievable!

Until this day they still junk mail me! :P

Yup. That's what happened to us. He kept leaving us and not coming back to 20 mins at a time.
