At this time I feel my fertility doctor is not in tune with really making this happen for us. If you have changed doctors how did you know it was time to do so?

Re: If you changed doctors, how did you know it was time to do so?

I knew it was time after I had:

1st IVF cycle- cancelled; prematurely ovulated
2nd IVF cycle- had 17 embryos;bfn
1st FET cycle- BFN
2nd FET cycle-BFN
3rd FET cycle BFN
Consult with my RE and he refused to change my protocol for a fresh cycle. He didn't think I needed to be on blood thinners despite a history of DVTs in pregnancy and postpartum, shot me down for prednisone after I did research and several girls on here used it and had success. It was time to switch.

I switched practices and my protocol was completely different on my first IVF fresh and frozen cycles. I had success 22month old dd and 4 day old DS.

I knew it was time after a previous bad transfer , gave another chance and after that cycle resulted in chemical bec I think the re who preformed the transfer didn't do it properly me re said ok let's do another with out a discussion , or wanting to change my protocol. I switched and got preg with my first ivf at my new dr with a brand new completely different protocol. Your gut will tell you it's time to
Move on.

My RE spoke to me like I was an idiot and did the same exact protocol with no success. For round 3, he wanted to do the same thing again. I was also only seen by nurses which infuriates me because I was paying $$$ for each appointment. The lab was also not that great and due to our issues we need an excellent lab.

My original doctor never changed up my protocols for the 3 IUI and 2 IVF cycles I did. And he always dismissed additional tests I asked for or other medications to try.
Turns out my intuition was right! I have a blood clotting disorder and needed to be on Lovenox. I now have 2 beautiful little ones.
Listen to your gut! You have to be your own advocate.
Good luck!

don't wait, the moment you start questioning what you are being told or have any doubt. The moment the Dr. and staff start making mistakes.
I hung on too long even though my RE said things that always made me question his ability, and the office constantly made mistake after mistake
Good luck

I switched trying for my second pregnancy. After I did 2 iui's and IVF with my previous doctor I never really felt comfortable but was going through the process and finished with them when I got pregnant. I felt like it was a factory and no one EVER knew my name and I always had to give them information about our case. This time I knew I had to go somewhere else and it was a wonderful experience. I saw the same people daily and they knew my name, issues, wants and were all around nice people. I wish I would have switched before.
