single process coloring questions:
I've been to different salons over the years and am told different things. As long as there was no heavy hair spray on the hair I used to go a couple of days without a shampoo. Recently I was told this is not true. clean hair is better.
Also, how long should a single process hair color last before gray come shining through? This last time, with clean hair, it only lasted about three weeks. Just a coincidence?

I always thought you shouldn't wash your hair that morning of the single process.

I dye my hair dark brown and its naturally light brown. Three weeks and my roots look start to look crazy and I'm just about due for another dye job. So I think 3-4 weeks is a fair amount of time. I almost wish my hair grew more slowly

I never go to the salon with clean hair when I get it dyed. They wash it there anyway. My color lasts about 3-4 weeks before I start noticing the greys again.
