Pelvic rest question

So when I had my 20 week appt last week they told me I have a low lying placenta. The dr said no sex until it moves. He didn't mention anything about anything else. Does having an orgasm affect anything down there that it shouldn't? Ugh. This happened with DD also. Chat Icon

Pelvic rest question

At 29 weeks I was diagnosed with a low lying placenta. My Dr never gave me any restrictions though. Not sure about the affects of an orgasm down there. lol

I would assume yes because it makes your uterus contract. I don't know this for a fact though. I think you might need to ask your doctor, as awkward as that might be.

Re: Pelvic rest question

LOL I am going thru a similar situation now---my DR put me on pelvic rest to avoid pre term labor possibility due to some minor contractions and YES it means NO ORGASM!!!!! I would ask your DR to be sure - but that's what it means for me!
