I haven't been very active on this board, but just wanted to update and say that  made his appearance early, on 11/25!
8lbs, 19", a very sweet little boy.
Good luck to everyone on your deliveries!
Congratulations! Hope you all are doing well!
It seems like there were more november babies than there will be december on the board!

Had my 39 week appt. 3.5 cm dilated. Dr offered to schedule an induction, but I declined. I go back Monday if I don't go on my own before then.....

He's never coming and I'm getting no sleep!!! Didn't start pitocin when I thought I would- dr wanted to see how I would do on my own first- nada. Then LO was reacting badly to pitocin, so I came off. Just went back on. Been here for 12 hours so far!
Uhhh I hope he is here by now! Fingers crossed everything is going smoothly.

*** OFFICIAL DECEMBER 2014 THREAD ***
Had DS!!! Dr almost sent me for csection a few times since I was stuck at 4cm for so long and baby was in distress every time I had a contraction. They put me in a weird position and I went from 4-10cms in less than an hour! I could feel the pressure, but he was still high. They had me sit up to get him to move down, but he didn't- talk of csection again until the dr decided to give me a shot to push him down on my own. With one push I had to stop because I almost pushed him right out and no one was ready! After all was ready, one more push was all I needed to push my 9lb3oz LO out! He cried right away and was perfect! Had a huge knot in his umbilical cord, which was what was causing the distress. Dr said it could have had a very bad ending, but Henry is here and doing very well!

Congratulations!!! So many December babies turned out to be November babies! Nice size for an early baby. Hope you're both doing well!

That must've been stressful, but so glad to hear the happy outcome. Welcome Baby Henry!

Oh wow, glad you got him out in time. So scary. Big boy!! Congratulations! !!he was born 12/3 right? Like my son!

Had my DS yesterday morning! Within 20 minutes of arriving at the hospital! Was 9cm when thry checked me, no time for an epidural even if I wanted one... baby was coming out. DH had to take my clothes off for me I was in so much pain.
Pushing made each contraction feel so much better. It was awesome feeling him come out. Can't remember that from DS1 Carter Anthony, 7lbs 7oz 19.5 " born 10:29am 12/3!!
Can't believe I delivered him drug free! Dilating slowly these last few weeks helped I guess. I was 5cm in my Dr office Tuesday he was born the next day!

 I can't even imagine, Samira. I had contractions for 3 hours and was only 2cm and 90% effaced and I was crying for drugs!  even tho I had a c-section planned

Well Samira, I thought your story only happened in the movies, and then it happened to me too! Got to the hospital, changed into my gown, felt my water break as I was giving my urine sample, and barely made it onto the bed before I felt the urge to push! It was a mad scramble to call the dr, more nurses, and my DH into the room! DD#2 came in a hurry, with only 2 pushes. She's beautiful and healthy- 7lbs 12oz and 19 inches long.
Congrats everyone! These December (and November) babies sure gave us a wild ride!

I was due December 23. On the 17 I had a dr appointment. Still only 1 cm, wasn't what I wanted to hear. On Thursday night the 18th my water broke and we headed into Stonybrook. I was admitted around 9:30pm. I asked for an epidural around 1am...they had some issues getting it in and were finished by 3am but it wasn't kicking in so they gave me a extra dose of it and my blood pressure went down and so did babys. I got really light headed. My left leg was numb but I still felt the right leg. They tried to readjust it by pulling it back but nothing was working. His head kept laying on the umbilical cord so I had to keep switching sides. I pushed a few times with the uneven epidural. But the pain in my right side was insane. They tried to redo the epidural. But nothing was working. It felt like it something was going to burst on that side. Finally they got a ultrasound machine. Turns out it was baby's shoulder wedged into my pelvis. I was told they could do a c section and give me a spinal. Hoping it would work and if it didn't I'd have to be put out completely. Luckily when they got me to the OR and did the spinal it worked. Baby Grant Thomas was born 9:23am.
