Thanks for the reminder! I totally forgot.
I also added unopened soaps, lotion and deodorants I had in my closet that we were given as gifts and such around the holidays that we have never used.
I heard toiletries are always appreciated.
Also I threw in some pet foods as well.

Leave it outside--they do sometimes drive by and collect after their route.

my mail lady left mine too . she def didnt come back for it.
it was very clearly marked-it even had the postcard they sent around taped to the bag.

Personally I hate this idea, and I'm a social worker who does food drives all the time. In theory i guess its an easy way for people to donate but....Even though we only get a few pieces of mail x that by the mailman's route whoa that's hard heavy work to ask them to then pick up bags of food :( i feel guilty putting a few bills in the box for them to take back, I'd rather drop them at post office myself, plus I worked in the post office one summer, its filthy, under my shirt every day would a layer of pure dirt, it a not a good place to collect food !
