double stroller question for BTDT moms with 2 or more

DS will be just shy of 2 when DS2 is born. I bought the uppa vista in hopes of using it as a double stroller when baby #2 is born. Now that I've done some research I'm finding that not many people love the rumble seat for the uppa. Is the piggback ride along board good for a 2 year old? Or am I better off saving my money and putting it towards a double stroller - I have my eye on the city mini GT double but it's Thoughts?

I don't have 2 yet but my cousin purchased the rumble seat and wasn't a fan. She uses it only if she has to, if she's out with her DH they each take a single stroller. IMO under 2 is too young for the ride along board.
Another friend of mine is 2 under 2 and bought the CitySelect, which is also$&&. I guess it all depends on your needs. Can you sell your Vista and put the money towards a double?

i didnt get the uppa baby when i had dd bc i heard bad things about it from moms of 2 and we had always hoped to have 2 kids

i just got a city mini gt double from albeebaby for a decent price - its the 2013 model but it does the trick imo

Thank you all for the responses. I don't want to sell my uppa because if I'm alone with DS2 I'd like to use that. But it will save me about $200 not getting the rumble seat and the ride along thing so I'll use that towards a double stroller. Thanks again!

I'm not familiar with the uppa but I have a citi mini..not sure of the model. I really like it and still use it pretty frequently. DS is 2 and DD will be turning 5 next month. Check craigslist and the buy sell groups i'm sure you can get one for much cheaper.

I would sell your Uppa and get the city select. I have it and it can be used as a single or double at any given moment. I love mine!

Have the uppa...love the Uppa! However it's not a stroller for 2 IMO, I bought a city mini double used for $200 which is basically what it would cost to turn the Uppa w the rumble and kick board. I love the Uppa as a single so I can't part, buy used, I'm quickly realizing there's lots of things that are better off buying w some mileage!

my older DD was 2 when my younger was born. we bought another stroller before selling it and getting the city mini double GT. love that stroller!! i take a lot of walks and don't regret it for a second.

Congrats on having two DSs! Two of a kind is a lot of fun =)

JMO, but a riderboard and a two year-old are not a good combo. It wouldn't have worked with my girls. DD1 would have hopped off and been gone with the wind lol. Hold onto your Uppa, but I'd recommend a good double stroller.

I have the Britax B-Agile Double. My girls are exactly two years apart. Comparable to the City Mini Double but with better storage IMO. A side-by-side is a pain for things like shopping, but DD1 is a wild woman and I liked that I could see her and DD2 equally well.

Definitely test drive some of them. I really liked the City Select but it weighed a ton, and that was before I put two kids in it. I also like the B-Ready, which converts from a single to a double and will work with most infant seats. You may also want to check out a Sit and Stand.

I have the city select double stroller. My boys are exactly 2 years apart, and my older DS (2) still loves the stroller. I highly recommend this stroller!!!!
