I'll go to superbowl party because I like parties. The game is kind of background noise when no one cares about who's playing. It's a way to see friends.

I just feel like I can eat junk food and drink booze any Sunday.
I don't need a football game - that I could give a rat's azz about- as an excuse to eat and drink.
And I never am I fan of commercials anyway- that's what DVRs are for- so you never have to watch an ad.
I guess I just never got the hype.
I guess football is the national passtime- not baseball

I used to watch for the commercials, but they've been lame the last few years.
DH is a Jets fan and doesn't even care about Sunday's game.
For real about the commercials, they used to be so funny and creative. Last few years they haven't been anything special. So disappointing.
I'm a Giants fan, but I would like to see Peyton win. I like him!

I remember in college in my marketing classes we would spend a day devoted to re-watching the superbowl commercials - they were always so funny and great. Recently? not so much  They used to be the only reason I cared about the superbowl... EXCEPT when the Giants play, then I truly care and actually watch...
this year? I am going to go to a friends and eat and drink and probably not pay much attention. I do love Peyton Manning though so I MIGHT be a little more interested because of that.

I don't like football, don't get it, don't understand…. And I have 2 big Bronco fans at home, DH and DS

I am a casual football fan. I haven't been to many super bowl parties since I had kids. However, my 6yo son is completely obsessed with football and at the beginning of the season he decided the Broncos are his third favorite team after the local teams, and it is seriously the only thing he has talked about for weeks. Dh took him to times square tonight. We are having friends over to watch the game(though they have kids too and since its a school night i secretly hope they dont stay till the end! It's way too late for me!)I never imagined I would know so much about Peyton Manning. If only I was single I could put my newfound football knowledge to good use meeting guys.

I don't care about the Superbowl at all.
We will have it on & use it as an excuse to eat junk food
DH is somewhat interested in watching it, I'm slightly interestest in seeing the commercials, but wouldn't care if I missed them either.

I have never been a football fan and I am especially not a fan of watching 2 teams that aren't even local to NY play.
I know a lot of people don't care for football but still like the Superbowl.
For me, I have no desire to watch it, the commericals, go to a party,buy a box, eat the food, etc.
If it were up to me I'd spend the night watching movies, catching up on DVR or Netflix, or going to the movies, dinner, etc- ANYTHING that is not at all related to the Superbowl.

I for one would call in sick if I had a party as it is a lot of work and I wouldn't get to bed until really late.

If you have to clean up afterwards, it is a pain. I have called in sick when having a big football party before. Wasnt intending but even after having help cleaning up, my house was a disaster the next day and I was exhausted.
