Has anyone forgotten where they put their wedding rings? Updated - found them!!!
I am so upset. I went away for a few days and thought it best to leave rings home. I found a spot to keep them and can't remember. I am afraid I threw them out by mistake. I am so devastated. I just can't remember...
Updated: I found them! They were missing 7 weeks, They were in s shirt pocket I looked in at least 10 times, I don't know how. We literally spent hours tearing the house apart and I was still ripping everything apart when I found them. It was a thrilling moment.
All those that responded and fm'd me, thanks for your thoughts and ideas. Now I have to get it insured, as it wasn't.

Ugh that sucks. Hope they turn up.
I used to take mine off all the time and DH almost threw them out during a move.
I leave them on all the time now........I don't even notice them on my finger.

I hope you find them  did you leave them in the bathroom, medicine cabinet maybe?
My DH threw my rings out and tossed the garbage In the dumpster. I realized a few hours before the garbage truck came. He climbed in, got the bag and found them. I shudder every time I think of it. I never take them off now

Sounds silly, but a friend of DH's put his gf's rings in a coffee mug IN the cabinet. Did you try there? Or maybe in a makeup bag or unused purse? A drawer in your dresser or nightstand could be possibilities too.

so sorry you lost them. I never take my wedding band off. Thats why I didn't want flashy or big.. its lightweight, thin, danty and comfy. My E-ring.. another story LOL but I never wear it. its kept safe.

Did you hide them?
My mom went on vacation once and hid ALL of her jewelry in one spot and when she came home she forgot and didn't find it for SIX months!
Also when I went on my honeymoon she his my engagement ring for her and we agreed in a spot at her home, so I knew where it was too. Then I got home and checked the spot and it wasn't there. My dad had no idea and she was out. When she came home she showed me where she moved it and I swear if something had happened to her I would have never ever seen it again.
We don't let her hide things anymore.
If I were you I would stay calm and methodically check each room top to bottom. A little bit at a time, good luck!

Yes, I hid them. I was visiting my parents and there wasn't much room for me and I didn't want to be taking my rings on and off and was afraid I would lose them. So I decided to leave them home. Now I have spent the whole day looking. At first I was upset, but now after I looked everywhere, I am devastated. I cannot believe I did this.

No..I know it is not there. At first I put it in a shirt pocket in my closet but I remember I wanted a better spot....lol. What a disaster this is! And this only happened a week ago and I don't remember.

I do it all the time. Not to hide them i just tend to take them off as soon as i come in the house. They always turn up.

Uggh, that stinks! We have a ring holder so that's usually the only place I put them. If I need to put them away for longer they get locked in our fire box. I don't think I could hide them bc I have a not so good track record for remembering places. My mom once gave us our stocking stuffers in the middle of summer bc that's when she finally found where she'd hidden them. Did you put them inside something? A gift box, shoe, pill or other empty bottle?

Maybe give St. Anthony a try?
Also...you could try vacuuming the whole house and then looking through the bag. Maybe they somehow are on the floor/behind a couch/etc.?

Don't be concerned about that. I have hidden things and forgotten too! Eventually I recalled where, but it took a week or so. I you find them.

Im so sorry.. Its so frustrating... This happened to me 2 years ago.. I put my wedding band and diamond earrings in a secure place and never found them again (luckily it was my plain gold wedding band, not my diamond band). I searched for a while... Since then we have moved and I made sure to search everything while packing. No luck!

I know it was a week ago.
But can you remember what you were doing right before or after you moved them from the shirt pocket?
Concentrate on backtracking your steps.
Also give yourself some time to clear your thoughts of where you think it could be and focus on what you were doing at the time.
Hope you find them.

My mom has "lost" a few pieces of jewelry in the house and has always found it. Sometime it isn't for a few months but they usually turn up

I once put mine in the jewelry cleaner, forgot I had done that and was sure they were lost.
Another friend forgot where her jewelry was hidden and sought the help of a hypnotist. One session and she immediately remembered. It's in your memory somewhere, maybe try a little "self-hypnosis"/meditation. Good luck!

I once left mine on the corner or the window sill in the kitchen... Freaked out, but then backtracked to remember. Took a while though. Maybe u meant to hide it, and thought u did, but you did something right before and got sidetracked. I agree to try and remember every little thing you did that day. Hope you find it!!
Eta: maybe check all compartments of your suitcase too

This is what I thought I did. I thought I hid it. I was trying to decide where and somehow thought I did, but wondering if I did something else, like you said, sidetracked. My garbage is still here so I am going to go through that the second time. I just can't see where it would be. The only other thing would be I mistakenly put it in my luggage and it was stolen, but I cant see how I could do that. I was finishing packing and getting ready to leave for trip. I think the problem is that it was a week before I came home and realized I couldn't find them.
