(If you decorate) When do you start decorating for Christmas? We host Thanksgiving, so we start the day after.

When do you start decorating for Christmas?
Always the day after Thanksgiving. My 4 year old is very impatient this year, so I took a few things out here and there for him to feel like he decorated. It usually comes down the day after Christmas though, be then I've had enough!

When do you start decorating for Christmas?
I don't get off the day after Thanksgiving but I try to start taking stuff out that weekend. Now with 2 little ones, I do it whenever I get a chance  . But my goal this year is to try and have everything up the week after Thanksgiving.

DH will put the lights up outside first warmer day after Thanksgiving. Tree and all other inside decorations go up the beginning of December when we have free time.

the saturday after thanksgiving.
this year, we're not decorating. with the upcoming move, i prefer not to. i'm too overwhelmed as it is.

The rule in my house growing up was we decorate after my birthday (Dec 3). I still follow that in my house now.

Day after thanksgiving and we continue throughout that weekend. Hoping we are able to this year, but no idea when this baby will make her arrival :)

I like to do the day after Thanksgiving. DH is a scrooge and hates decorations so he fights me on this lol. These threads are making me want to start pulling things out since DS is napping. It's still too soon, right . . .

When we aren't travelling (as we aren't this year), I put some things out on Thanksgiving weekend. We don't get our tree until the second week of December, so that waits...but I get the decorations started for the rest of the house.

Same here... im trying to push back when i decorate because by the time christmas is here im totally over it.

I try and get our dining room tree (fake) up and decorated prior to Thanksgiving. I like the feeling of being with family, but without any of the gift chaos and pressure.
I start slowly replacing all my fall/Thanksgiving decor with Christmas decor after Thanksgiving weekend. Our family room tree is usually purchased in early Dec.
When it comes to outdoor holiday lights, we do them towards the end of Nov. or early Dec. If it's a warm weekend, we definitely try and take advantage of it.

DH and I always decorate and put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving. It's become a tradition for us since we moved into our house
