My one son had his out at 2 yrs 8 m, the second at 2 years 2 weeks. Are you staying over night? We did with both of them.
The first few days werent bad at all for us. I thought, wow, this is a breeze....then came the time when they start crusting over 
Make sure you have soft items, nothing red or pink, bc you can confuse it with blood. and dont do ANY lollipops (Learned the hard way, when coming home from the dr, as hes nicely licking his lollipop, all of a sudden I heard crunch, bc he bit it. I thought I was going to crash the car, I was so nervous..thankfully nothing bad happened.)
We did lots of ice pops, jello, applesauce, mac and cheese. And lots of hugging. I you cant take off for the whole 2 weeks, I would suggest being there for her around day 4-5 til about day 10. These were the hardest days for my boys, all they wanted to do was cuddle with mommy.

ETA:they also suggest buying the tylenol suppositories in case your child will not swallow the tylenol. I bought them, but never had to use them, but it was nice to have them just in case.

I have no experience but I used to work for a pediatric ENT, and I just wanted to say that the recovery is much better for the little guys than for older kids adults...hopefully you're DD will have a smooth, easy, recovery!

Friend's son had this done. It seemed like the worst part for her was when he was actually coming out from under the anaesthesia. Based on what the doctor told her, kids seem to have a strong reaction and growl and flail around. He was ok though!
