Small Backpacks
Can anyone recommend a small backpack that's not filled with pictures of cartoon characters, etc?

Land's End has lots of solids and prints, not characters. Also, Skip Hop has a collection that look like animals/critters.

Small Backpacks
Pottery Barn has cute ones. They offer a really small (can't remember the exact name), a small, which is perfect for K and pre-k, and a large. I personally can't stand character ones, and a lot of the other ones are very plain.

We got my 2yo old the smallest one and it's perfect size for her. If this is for a preschooler, maybe get the next size up. They are super cute!!

DD has a PB one (I think it's the preschool size one) but it's VERY small. I felt like there wasn't much room and it's not like I was putting a lot of stuff in it - she was only in preschool. I wish I would have gone a size up on that. But their patterns are adorable!
