WOuld you bring your child to a 6:30PM birthday party?

I am having my twins' birthday party at Pump it up this year. Just wondering if I had a 6:30Pm party, do you think that is too late for a 3 year old's party? Would you prefer a late morning/early afternoon Party? If it makes any difference, it will be on a saturday. TIA!!

For my 3 year old that would be fine- but she goes to bed very late!

It's a bit late but we make exceptions for birthday parties so we would still go.

This exactly. My boys go to sleep on the earlier side. If we do dinner late and it's sitting around my 2 yr old will get cranky. My 4 yr old would be ok.
When we are out late, but there's a lot of stimulation bc there's a lot of kids or a party, etc then they are fine. In this case there's plenty of stimulation.

I would. Are you serving dinner? If so, you should have that first.

yep would have been good for my 3 yr old too. Besides it would help wear her down for sleep ;)

Re: WOuld you bring your child to a 6:30PM birthday party?

I think it's too late, I put my 3yr old DD down at 8:00 and on weekends (assuming that's when your party is) that is when Mommy/Daddy time starts. I would go to the party, most likely, but be huffing and puffing under my breath that it's taking up a precious Saturday night or that it was delaying bedtime on a weeknight where every minute counts.

Big fan of the morning parties.

I would definitely prefer late morning/early afternoon.

I would go to a 6:30 party but my DD's bedtime is 8, so I would prefer an earlier party.

Late morning/early afternoon party is much more preferred IMO. I think people want to get the kiddie birthday party over and done with in the daytime. It leaves the evening for family time, relaxation, going out, or whatever.

OMG they are 3Chat Icon

I would prefer an earlier party but I would still go as long as it wasn't a week night.

My kids go to bed around 7-730 but are at the age now that they could be flexible

I would say no (unless they were super close to me) bc My 3 year old goes to bed at 7:30/8 and by 6;30 she is whinding down and could start to get tired and cranky by 7 ish.

Of course. Birthdays, holidays and other special occasions, there are no rules or schedules.

I would. My brother and SIL had my nephew's 6th birthday at Pump it Up at 7 p.m. on a Friday. DS was 21 months. He had a blast and as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot he was OUT. He doesn't usually go to bed until 9 anyway.

Honestly, I wouldn't go unless it was close family..........especially if it was far from my house. We're sticklers for bedtime. My DD is done and tired at night, she's in bed and asleep at 8 every night. We try to avoid nighttime events as much as possible, it's not worth the headache.

Personally, I prefer kids parties early in the day when the kids are awake and happier. By 6:30, we are starting to wind down for the night.

My son goes to bed early (around 8). But I would bring him to a late birthday and brought him to them when he was younger. My niece had her 3rd bday party at 5 or 6 in Chelsea Piers.

Re: WOuld you bring your child to a 6:30PM birthday party?

I wouldn't allow my 3 yr old to attend a party that started at 6:30. It would be a nightmare to get him to wind down & we start our bedtime routine at 7:15-7:30.
This is how we are though- others may not be so strict. DC doesn't nap during the day at 3 yrs old so any time during the day would work better for him.

Dd is turning three, I wouldn't have an issue with it. Her bedtime is 830-9.

Plus, I would still be able to get something done Saturdays durning the day.

I have been to them and they were fine. I brought pj's and changed DS before I went home just in case he fell asleep in the car. I think it's fine for a Saturday.

I wouldn't love it but I would make it work, especially on a Saturday.
