It Just Happened...
Well ladies, about an hour ago I passed the sac.
Ugh.
My question is, how much can I expect afterward? In an hour I filled up a pad. Is this normal? I'm scared to lose too much blood.

So sad. I remember when I passed mine and it's just awful.
I would keep an eye on the blood. The ER doc had told me that if I filled up a pad an hour for 3 hours, to go to the hospital.
I hope that's not the case for you...so sorry this is happening.

This has been so hard. I am laying down now & def think the blood is lessening. Say a prayer it remains that way.
My other question is, what did you do with the sac?

Oh good, I'm so glad the blood is lessening.
I didn't do anything with the sac...I feel weird typing out that I just flushed it...but that's what I did.
You'll be in my thoughts and prayers!!

It certainly stinks. I did the same thing, I know it sounds horrible but I flushed it as well.

I'm sorry, its such a horrible feeling. I showed my husband the sac as I wanted to him to see. I felt like I wanted to do something with it but I flushed it.
Im sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this awful situation. I lost mine just a couple weeks ago. Started spotting on Monday, July 22 and didn't pass the sac until 6 days later (Sunday, July 28th). After that I thought it would lighten up, but sadly I did continue to bleed fairly heavy including clots. I still can't figure out what the heck was still coming out  Now it's been 9 days since the sac passed and I'm still not done. A few days ago it did get much lighter at least (more like brownish spotting) but still in need of tampon or pad. When the heck will this EVER end?!
As for the excessive bleeding, mine did feel very heavy, but I wasn't filling up pads too quickly. My doctor told me that if the bleeding increases rather than decreases, or I fill up more than one pad in an hr then to go to ER to get checked. Luckily that never happened. It was pretty painful though - almost felt like labor at some points. Ugh.
