I had no clue what that was so I looked it up - its the 5 in 1 for DTaP Hep B IPV?

We didn't do this, we separated them. I feel like 5 in 1 is a lot!

7 weeks is a little young for such a strong vax. We had pentacel administered to DS at 4 months and no reaction, pediarix has a much higher aluminum content and also has hep b which I did not want administered. Monitor your baby and if you nurse, lots of nursing to help her flush out the toxins.

The vax can be given at 6 weeks. Dd is 8 weeks tomorrow, it was her first round of shots. She never got hep b in the hosp which is who the ped chose this combo. The other option is dtap, hib n polio combo so same difference pretty much! She'll go next month for hib and pneumococcal rather then getting all of them today. Her temp was just 99.8 rectally so I assume thats where our flushed cheeks are coming from!

No, but my pediatrician is and her practice doesn't do any vaccinations before the age of 3 months. Mainstream, award winning right here in Mineola...not looking to start a vaccine debate just presenting information.

No debate here - just clarifying your credentials. I'm sure we could all argue we go to great pediatricians.

According to my pediatrician, sleepiness is a normal reaction to the shot.

sleepiness is a normal reaction to ALL vaccines. as long as she isn't running a temp over 100.4, no concern.

I don't see anything wrong with what she said. Why challenge her? When my boys were in the NICU our neonatologist told us he Hep B is just a huge social experiment to see if they vaccinate a captive population(newborns) could they eradicate Hep B in the US. Valiant goal, but I am not putting extra heavy metals and chemicals into my child for that purpose.

Well. Its every moms choice to vacinate or not so it seems a bit judgemental when one mom says she vaccinated with a certain vaccine at the suggestion of her pediatrician and another mom states its too "strong" or contains "heavy metal" that you'd never put in your child. A simple statement that you opted not to vaccinate is enough. No need to imply that getting the vaccination is harmful. Bc thats whats happening. Vaccinate or not, i dont care what anyone else does but i wouldn't judge another mother for her choice.

And in all honesty the post was to find out how other lo reacted to the shot not to get opinions on the vaccination or start a heated vax convo!
