How old was DD when you pierced her ears?
DH and I were discussing this today. I know DD is still too young, but when did you pierce your DD's ears?

4 mo. The ped did it. I probably would have rathered the piercing place do it though only b/c my ped uses these ugly plastic earings.

How old was DD when you pierced her ears?
6 months. Hubby pushed it and they are now 4 and don't wear them. But it didn't seem to bother them when we got them

I'm not piercing DD's ears until she's old enough to ask for them. I think in my case 4 or 5 yrs would probably be the youngest.

Did anyone have issues with your daughters tugging at their ears? I'm worried that DD will tug at her lobes.

I don't have a girl but I'm with this school of thinking. I think that a lot of people do it sooner b/c it makes it more obvious they have a girl & some girls pull out hair bows. I still would prefer to wait. My mom waited for me to ask and I was in 2nd grade. I surprised my mom by doing a lot of the healing care by myself. She just had to take me to the place and she helped me with my first earring change.,

How old was DD when you pierced her ears?
I haven't pierced DD1's yet - she just turned 2 - and I wish I had done it around 6 months. This way there is no memory of it and she can't fight it! My ped told me that she will not pierce her ears now because DD is such a bad patient! I will likely do DD2's when she is still a baby to avoid that!

How old was DD when you pierced her ears?
DD was about 3 yo. We had asked her pediatrician to do it but she recommended going to a place that does them regularly. She wasn't comfortable performing a cosmetic procedure on a child.

I already posted that I did dd's at 3 months. She is now 4 years old and there have been No issues at all.
She never touched them or pulled at her ears. I cleaned them as directed and all was fine.
Also, when we got them done, dd cried for like 5 seconds. She cried and screamed more when she got her vaccinations.

This is what we did. My girls asked just after Christmas this year and we brought them. They were 4 and 5.5 years old. I am not a fan of pierced ears on babies.

This. I got my ears pierced at 6--when I asked my parents for them. I'll wait until DD really shows an interest.

dd has an appt to get hers done when she is 6.5 months
i wanted to do it now (4 months) but they suggested waiting til after the summer if i plan on having her in the pool etc. im not really sure why - but since we have vacations and stuff planned i figured i would just wait.
I had to convince DH to do it this early - imo get it done now and if they decide they DONT want the earrings when they are older you just take them out and the earring hole is barely noticeable.
