Genealogist or Investigator to find birth family?
My DH was adopted and now that we have a child, he is interested in locating his birth family - really for the purpose of gathering a family medical history (he has no interest in putting pressure on his birth mother for a relationship or anything).
Does anyone have someone to recommend that could help us? We already go the "non-identifying" information from NYS, but that was VERY limited.
And just because it is a small island... DH was born in 1975 at Bethpage Hospital (FM if you want more details!).

I don't have anyone to recommend. Has he started with any of the DNA projects, such as 23andme? Those projects should be able to give him some general information and he may be able to connect with people who may know other resources.
