Update: Beta Saturday
Waiting to get my blood drawn to see how my beta looks 13 days post retrieval. Why do they count it post retrieval and not post transfer day?  Does anyone know?
Anyway, I will know by this afternoon and while I am pretty sure it could be negative as I have no symptoms (being on endometrin probably causes that), I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.
Best of luck to all of you ladies, hope it is a bfp-kind of month for all of us!

Your retrieval date is the day you "ovulated" so that is why they count it from there.

Well, the results are in and it is back to the drawing board for us. Which is okay because I have a polyp that needs looking at before anything else. Probably going to call my original RE who went out on his own late last year as my Hubby and I consulted with him and Dr. Palter as a backup plan earlier in this cycle. Has anyone dealt with Dr. Palter or heard anything about him? I know he doesn't do rescue icsi and his % for 1 embryo transfer is 0 but he seems really on top of fixing this polyp before doing any stimming. In fact, he seemed quite perturbed when I told him our current RE's were deferring it to my GYN each time they did an IUI.
Anyone else have experience with polyps? What did your RE do/suggest? TIA for any thoughts.

Sorry about your BFN. I was considering Dr. Zapantis or Dr. Palter based on location and them having a smaller practice. I choose Dr. Zapantis based on location and reviews. Dr. Palter has good reviews on here too. Was this your first IVF cycle? I don't know what rescue ICSI is or what you mean by his % for embryo transfer is 0??? As for you saying your current RE defers to your GYN each time you do IUI I don't have experience with that. I had 3 IUIs and my RE did all 3 of them and my GYN is not involved in any of my IF stuff. So sorry again and hopefully you will get the polyp taken care of and have good results soon.

Update: Beta Saturday
I have had polyps and my regular gyn did the surgery to remove them.. Afterwards I saw dr Palter and he did every test to see what my issue was (including a saline sono for more polyps). I like him.. I wouldn't say he has the best bed side manner but he is a good doctor who wants you to get pregnant... The staff there is excellent and it's a small practice which is a plus.. Any questions feel free to FM me (btw all I have done so far there is IUI )

Some may not agree, but stats were important to us when we chose an RE. I looked at success rates for my age group. If you meant that your RE has had zero success with embryo transfers, I'd look elsewhere immediately. I chose a practice with a high pregnancy and live birth rate for my age group. DD is 3 1/2 months old.

Thank you for the reply Baby Dreams. Basically my ET day resulted in 3 eggs, one mature and 2 immature. The mature egg ended up abnormal after icsi and the two immature were icsi'd later so that they could develop more. Rescue icsi is when they fertilize the egg later in the lab but before 24 hours passes. So when I went in for the day 3 transfer only one of those embryos made it. I elected to do a single embryo transfer and that is where Dr. Palter's success rate is 0%. Either he doesn't do single embryo transfers or he's never had one be successful.
During 3 of my 5 iui's 2 different re's commented on the polyp but told me that my GYN should take care of it. Dr. Palter said that only an RE should evaluate it especially if I want to get pregnant as the polyp could affect implantation.
Sorry I was so confusing. I hope that clears it up. Thanks again, I really appreciate your support and wishes.

Thank you for the reply Elizabeth. I felt that Dr. Palter might have a better grasp of figuring out why I'm not getting pregnant after almost 2 years of trying. I do have a beautiful 5 year old son who was conceived naturally 3 months after having surgery that removed one tube and one ovary due to endo adhesions. Now almost 6 years later I knew it would be hard but Dr. P. thinks our chances are something like 1 in 15+ ivf cycles if using my own eggs. I always knew I wouldn't make lots of eggs and super stimming last month proved that. He would like to get 5 or 6 eggs, I'm never going to be that 10+er. Hopefully Dr. P. will figure it out.

Thanks for your reply Good Thoughts. Dr. P.'s success rates with elected single embryo transfer is 0. I just feel like why not only transfer one embryo? That's all it takes, right? So either he doesn't do ESET or he's never had success with it. Hopefully I can make more eggs on a different protocol.
Who did you see for your recent success, if you don't mind me asking?

Interesting, thanks for the info. Maybe he just doesn't do a single embryo transfer. Maybe he always does 2 or more??? IDK it sounds odd that it would be a 0% success rate unless he does at lest 2 every time. Maybe he only does 1 if there is only 1 to transfer. I would talk to him and ask about the success rates maybe he will say I rarely do single embryo transfers. Good luck.
