I have gotten some great recommendations of people on here but now the floors are ready to be finished and stained, walls all painted and carpeting in bedrooms...The whole house is getting painted, downstairs and stairs and upstairs hallway gets finished and stained

I had asked the same question and got so many mixed answers. We wound up doing floors (re-finishing) first, then painting, the carpeting.
