July Babies-What do they wear?
Hi I am expecting twin girls this summer babygirl: 
I am bit confused on what newborns wear in July/Aug even though the 3 month stuff is so cute its summer clothes but really it will be like October... I excpect they will be inside most of the time and AC is on?
My son was a preemie born in Feb so he wore onesies until the day I could get tiny pants and shirts on him LOL
Any advice appreciated.

July Babies-What do they wear?
My summer baby lived in those one-piece sleep and plays (pajamas) for the first few months. Especially if the a/c was on.
If going outside a onesie in the heat and a light blanket was fine.

I'm having summer twins too! I got lots of long sleeved onesies for them to wear. I have a few cutesie summer outfits too, that I will put on them when we go out which won't be very often. I honestly don't expect to be leaving my house or backyard for most of the summer, so they will either be nice and warm in the AC or in a onesie in the backyard. Their coming home outfits are one piece/long sleeved.

This was what we did with DS 1. The one piece rompers from Carters also worked well when we were outside. Honestly I didn't really have shorts for him. We were living in Northern VA and it was so hot. We took him to outdoor places right away and just dressed him in a onesie or a romper. Ease of diaper changes and comfort were #1. We had our central ac cranking when we were inside so we dressed him accordingly.  are also due in July and we plan to do the same.

DS was born in June - a lot of people got us pants and long sleeves and i thought it might still be cool then but he only could wear long sleeves for like the first week. Even in the AC I always had him in short sleeves or rompers and if it was cool i tucked a blanket around him

DD was born end of July and that is all she wore for July & Aug- if it was chilly in the air conditioning, we just wrapped her up in the swaddle blankets

same. I never liked it to be freezing if the baby was around anyway so the AC just wouldn't be set to the lowest setting and he'd be swaddled

long sleeve onesie pj's inside..when outside we put DD in little summer outfits because it was hot and humid.

DS was born in June. He was in short sleeve onesies the entire summer. Remember babies have a harder time regulating their temperatures than we do. If we're hot, they're doubly hot. Don't overdress them. If they're in the house with the air on, a light blanket/swaddle works fine.

This. I think a lot of people overdress newborns. You can always add a blanket. DS was born at the end of May and was in onesies all summer.

Exactly. My DD was born at the end of June and wore onesies all the time.

We used onesies. DS was born at the end of July. I had asked about the AC being too chilly for him and my Ped said "if you're comfortable, he's comfortable" and he was right. When we would put him in the snug a bunny for a nap we would just drape a blanket across him. Otherwise he was fine in just a onesie.
