No surge or very late surge this month..

I've been using Clearblue Digital Ovulation tests for a few months. I usually surge between CD 11-13. I should add that I have SHORT cycles..my cycles are never longer than 28 days and last month my cycle was 23 days.

So today was CD 14 and still no surge. I don't get it. My period could be coming in as little as 9 days. Isn't this odd?

Also, this is my second 20 count pack of tests. I had got a new pack of the tests this month but I've been using the test holder that I used last month. Could that be it? It's the same test holder that came with this box and it had only been used 20 times before. It seems to work fine but I get the blank O instead of a smiley.

Thanks for any advice.

It's normal to not ovulate a few times a year. Has the test worked for you before?

I used the tests the last 3 months. Twice I got a smiley on CD 11 and once on CD 13. My cycles have not been more than 28 days but are usually shorter.

I didn't realize it's normal not to ovulate a few times a year. I'll keep testing.

What I've noticed is that TTC messes with your body and what was always normal, no longer is. I have short cycles too - anywhere btw 22-28 days and when I was using opks, i surged anywhere between cd 11 and 16

I have short cycles also (25 days usually). Last month I got a + OPK on Day 10 and now I am on CD 12 and still negative. From what I have read it is normal for ovulation to vary from month to month. My guess is that you will have a longer cycle this month as your luteal phase should be consistent every cycle.
