Can anyone recommend a great eye dr to me?
I'm embarrassed to say that it's been way too long. Like 15 years. I wear contacts and feel like I should see someone because lately my eyes have been getting dry and scratchy.
I used to have an ophthalmologist that I saw in port Jeff when I was younger who retired. Does anyone have someone they'd recommend to me? I'm in the farmingville/Holbrook area, but would travel anywhere in Suffolk really. Thanks!!!!

My mom has a lot of eye issues and she has always sworn by the eye doctors at Brentwood Vision Center. She has been going there for years.

Dr. Oats. he just moved to Pt. Jeff but has several offices. He is fantastic and was the only one, after years, that could explain my high eye pressure!

Dr. Kessler in Port Jeff Station. I've been going to him since I was in middle school. My whole family goes to him and I would never switch, my best friend just started going to him too and loves him. 631-331-3883

No recc's for anyone in Suffolk but definitely see someone soon. I didn't go for a checkup for awhile, wore my contacts constantly, started to experience dry scratchy eyes and it turned out that I really messed them up. The blood vessels are growing into my corneas. I am now not allowed to wear my contacts every day or for more than a few hours at a time. I now wear my glasses all the time with the exception of a rare special occasion. I was told that if I had continued to wear my contacts as much as I was, I'd eventually go blind.
I don't mean to scare you but I just wanted to share my experience. Please get them checked ASAP!!

I go to St. Lucy eye Care - Dr. Urmaza. I have been going there forever. They are in Bohemia (631) 589-2535
Or Dr. Vickers - he used to work at St. lucy also.

I have been going to him. My husband used to go to Lenscrafters, adn then they referred him to Vickers, os he went to him a few times. he seemed great too!
