So there was a posting today on how the page was being removed in a day or so. Not even 5 hours later, and the support baby Easton Friedel page is gone. They didn't state a reason. Anyone know why the page was removed?

Wow, that makes me sad. I looked forward to hearing how he is. I fell in live with him as if he were my own blood. I pray he will get well every day.

I just tried to access the page before I saw this post, and yes it's gone. No idea why, I didn't see the post about it being removed. Very strange.

They said for family reasons... I understand but it's sad because they brought so many people into their lives. People donated money and prayers, then they just drop everyone who have been thinking about this little boy since he was born.

me too...I tried the page before, and thought there was a glitch. I didnt see the post about them shutting down the page. I hope everything is ok with the family

I totally agree. I'm just speculating, but maybe it was just too much for them to handle. I remember some of the posts talking about how other family members had serious health problems too. Or maybe it was too much stress to deal with some of the negative comments that people would post.

It sounds like there's issues going on between family members. Danielle, Easton's mom, posted that there will be another page setup soon. And his dad said that it was not him and his wife that took it down but other family members.
Even if they did take it down for privacy reasons or whatever, I think they have every right to. Just because you donate to someone/something doesn't mean they now "owe it to you to keep you updated."

That's really sad.... I loved seeing the updates and was very concerned for that little boy.
What kind of negative posts would people put?
I don't understand how anyone could say anything negative about that boy.

I donated and followed for a very long time until I hid it from my feed. I continued to manually check his page now and then and more often recently with his condition having worsened in the last month or two. I hid it because every single post ended up in drama. I'll be totally frank too, the amount of asking was also excessive. I truly believe that it was just family members with hands tied that were trying to do whatever they could to feel somehow empowered to help, but honestly, just numbers wise, it seemed like every single day for months on end there was a post asking for $. I would not be surprised if that had something to do with it coming down. There were also tons of azzholes that said things like the whole thing was a hoax.

I saw negative posts on the page when it first started. People on the internet always have something negative to say, no matter what the issue at hand is.
It sounds like extended family was in charge of the page, not Easton's parents, so maybe it's just as well. Sometimes when you mix money and certain people, it causes resentment, etc.

this is what I think too.
Also they may have wanted some privacy. I always get the sense that they were constantly being asked for updates and constantly felt this pressure to have to update the public. That should be the last of their concerns while dealing with everything going on in their family.

I agree. I've seen people who have been in similar situations create a website (not FB) and it's not updated regularly. I often wonder about the child, but would never go there to pry.
I don't want to imagine what this family is going through.
I think they deserve their privacy, even if at one point they wanted the entire world to know about their situation.
If they want to, I am sure they will speak when they are ready.

I totally understand their want for privacy. They are a superhuman family in my eyes.
I only hope that if a page reappears that people continue to be as generous as they were before. EB kids care is $$$ and some people feel betrayed not able to be updated since they were so vested in Easton and his condition.

This makes me sad..I was so obsessed with getting updates of this poor boy! I thought of him and his super parents and big brothers often! I understand their need for privacy..I hope we get updated somehow soon!
I hate how often they had to deal with negative comments and rude harsh people...I wish those people would grow up!
I wish them all the best for this poor baby and his family..and hope they get through this difficult time!

Easton's family..every single one of them, care and love for him DEEPLY. Easton is actually doing better, even though he is still serious, he continues to inspire us and amaze us every single day. Everyone can speculate WHY the support page went down, but please, the family just asks for your patience.
