blood test question
I'm probably reaching here but I'm currently in the 2 week wait and I had a drs appt yesterday so I just asked them if they could do a blood test to see if I was pregnant...I called today and they told me it was negative. Is there any chance that it could have not worked because I'm still in the 2ww? I'm really sad:(

Where are you in your wait? Are you TTC naturally or with an RE? It all depends on how many days ago you ovulated

This. If you are earlier than say 8 DPO, you likely haven't implanted yet so it wouldn't have shown up on a test yet.

I ovulated on the 16th so that's about 12 days ago...

the blood test won't be positive unless you implant after that it will take up to 2 day or so

There's a small chance you implanted late but you took a blood test so I am thinking no unfortunately. Implantation is generally 7-10 days after O. It can take up to 12. You should only have another couple of days till AF should arrive I am assuming so you will know then for sure. You could try testing with a FRER tomorrow. I hope I am wrong and you just don't have enough HCG to detect yet!!!!

chances are pretty good that if you had negative bloodwork at 12dpo that you aren't pregnant. good luck next cycle!
