Negative at 9 DPO

I have a serious obsession/addiction/PROBLEM and I couldn't help myself... I was only 9DPO on Sat and thought- lets just SEE what happens if I use up my last FRER test from last month. I know I know... I was early and I should have waited, but the box DOES claim 6 days before your missed period and I was 5!

No line- not even the faintest bit of a line- I held it up to the light and everything!!

I know there is still a chance since it was early but don't you think there would have been SOMETHING?

I KNEW my impatience would get the better of me and it would mess with my head!

There's still a chance! When I got my BFP with DD, I tested at 9dpo and got a BFN. I held off again until 13dpo (when I was 1 day late) and got my BFP.

Yes, the box claims it can pick up HCG 6 days early, BUT it all depends on when the egg implants. From that point, it takes a little while for the HCG to build up in your system and show up on a test.

Ok you set my mind at ease for now... last time I got a BFP I tested early but maybe its case by case... Im not going to throw in the towel just yet.

9DPO is def. too early. Some people do get BFP's that early but it doesn't mean you're out. Your best bet is to step away from the tests or not buy any tests until AF is due.

9 DPO is super early. I tested then because I couldn't resist....got a BFN..no faint lines at all. Next day, BFP! You still have a chance at a BFP!

I am in the same boat as you! My cycle was really wacky this month (and I am usually like clockwork). I ovulated much later than usual and had 4 days of positive opks (I usually get 2-3) but had o pains starting the evening I got the first positive into the second day of positive. I figured if that was when I o'd I was 9dpo yesterday but if I really didn't o until the final day of the opk (even though all my o tell tale signs were gone by then) I was only 7 or 8 dpo. I knew it was insanely early but I had a test and had to do it! I also thought about how it was probably a waste of a test as I was peeing, and then was upset because even though I knew it was early I felt like something should still have shown up. Hearing everyone's responses makes me feel much better. Good luck to you- still lots of time for your bfp!!!

I am starting to wish the opk packages didn't come with a free test. They are so dangerous to have in the house!

I had a blood test done 9 dpo and it came back negative .... The blood test 20 dpo was postivie after I was a week late lol

9dpo is too early! I didn't get my BFP until midday 11dpo or 6dp5dt so you are definitely testing too early. Wait 2 more days then retest. Good Luck

With my DD I had a completely negative HPT at 9DPO, then a super faint BFP at 10DPO, and a nice dark line at 11DPO. Things change quickly, 9DPO is early. Good luck.

I am getting excited reading these because now I am 12 DPO and I want to go out and buy a test right now! hahaha.

At 12 dpo you should be able to get a fairly accurate result. I would test again in the morning.

I got a negative blood test at 8 dpo and a positive on a pee test at 10 dpo, so you just never know that early on.

I'm going to (TRY to) be good and wait until day 14... that way if AF comes I won't waste my money.
