Did anyone lose eveything in Sandy?
DH and I are currently clean out our apartment to make room for the baby and we have a mattress we need to get out of here. It is a full size mattress. We really would like to find a family that lost everything in the hurricane and try to help them out a little bit.
Please FM me if you know of someone or are that family and I will send you the details of the mattress.

that is very nice of you to want to help someone out. I know someone who lost everything but she already replaced her mattress. It was one of the first things she acquired so that she could sleep there. Just thought that might be why the lack of responses. If people were able to go home, they might have gotten that first. If they were unable to go home, I'm not sure, maybe no place to put it. Hopefully someone will be able to use it.

Check with the group adopt a house on Facebook. It's a group in Lindenhurst that matches people who need stuff and help with people who want to donate stuff and time.

We lost everything, and still are not in our home, but DH just ordered a replacement bed today. This is so nice of you, though!
