Trying to avoid another C-Section?

Does anyone know of an OB or midwife in smithtown or the surrounding areas that support VBACs? I'd like to see if I'm a good candidate? There's Stony Brook midwives but Stony Brook Hospital does not take my insurance. But the midwives do.....I then called St. Catherine's Hospital and they dont support VBACs. Chat Icon

I go to Suffolk OB and I am delivering at St Charles. They gave me the option of VBAC. That's the plan as long as I go into labor on my own. They wont induce. I am nervous but excited.

Thanks. I'll check them out. who is your doctor? is there certain doctors that support it. Dont be nervous. It will be all worth it. its only 1% that something goes wrong. thats nothing. I'm def not nervous. I hope I'll be a good candidate. my dd will be 5 yrs by then. i want to be able to walk vs. being in pain for a few months.

My DD will be 4.5 when our son is born so that makes me feel better.......it's not a new scar by any means. Chat Icon

I just really don't want another C section, I had a loooong recovery last time, it wasn't fun.

I see Dr. Petraco, he's great. Very patient, takes his time. I like him a lot.
