Strollers - Newborn thru Toddler

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if you could provide me with some recommendations for a stroller? This is my first so I'm completely lost and theres just so many options.

I was looking at the uppa baby vista? any likes/dislikes about this stroller?

I like that it acts as a snap and go for when the baby is a newborn. This is a must for me. I dont want to have to remove the baby from the carseat everytime I need to run into a store.

I like that it has a bassinet attachment for walks.

I also like that it is a toddler stroller as well and has storage on the bottom.

I would really appreciate some feedback and any other recommendations!

Thank you!

We have two.

The Snap and Go and the City Mini.

Absolutely love both. I felt the Uppa Baby was too bulky. Plus - combined my two strollers are a fraction of the cost of the Uppa Baby.

Exactly this!

In the beginning, I wanted to have the easiest to travel with stroller: that is the snap n go attachment that fits onto the car seat (we had two because I literally wore out the wheels for each child).

I liked the uppa baby... but got the citimini because I loved it too & the price was great. I see bigger kids in the citi mini, where I see most people retire their uppa baby rather early.

No matter what you get, strollers are going to have positives and negatives. I like the fact that the uppa baby can be used as a high chair and it looks cool. I also like the fact that it sits up more than the citimini which kids will want to do from age 6 months to about 1.5 years.

I have the Uppa Baby and the City Mini and a Bob.

I loved the Uppa Baby for all the reasons you said - i used it as a snap and go, the basket is AMAZING - it holds everything - DD was born in May and I live in Westchester and did A LOT of walking that summer. It handles bumps great and super smooth ride.

I like that she could face me or face out.

the city mini is great, folds easily and pretty good on the side walks but not as versitile and smooth as the Uppa Baby and it has the most useless basket ever invented.

I have the Uppa Baby Cruz and it has a lot of the positives of the snap n go, citi mini and vista...

Huge basket
super light
snap car seat right into it
easy maneuvering
smaller wheels / more narrow but still smooth
Big canopy for shading baby

The only thing it doesn't have is a bassinet but it reclines to 180 degrees and my 6 lb baby had no problem with it (there's an infant insert you can get).

Nothing compares to the citi mini one-hand fold and carry (hands down!) but I found the seat to be a little flimsy.

I love my Uppababy Vista. It is a smooth ride, roomy, can go over any kind of ground surface. Comes with bassinet and regular chair. Can use it as a snap and go. Basket is super large can fit everything under there.

Will say it is huge and took a few tries to get used to folding it.

Best investment I have gotten, use it all the time. Never had buyers remorse.

Their customer service from I have seen is fabulous.

We have the City Select, a Chicco Liteway, and we purchased a City Mini for my parents who watch DD 3 days/week.

I love the City Select for the giant basket, reversible seat, ability to add a second seat later on, and the smooth ride. I hate that it's such a PITA to take in and out of the car. I used this stroller with the car seat when she was little, and it was a pain.

I love the Liteway since it's so easy to take out of the car. DD is pretty comfy in there, but I was debating between the Liteway and the G-Luxe and now I kind of wish I had spent the extra money for the G-Luxe. I like the recline on the Liteway much more than the G-Luxe, but the Liteway has no padding and I feel like DD is not going to be comfy for much longer.

I love the fold of the City Mini and the giant sunshade, but the basket is beyond useless, and I know I would hate it as my everyday stroller.

I didn't get a snap and go because I hated the way it pushed in the store. But once DD arrived I was so jealous of all the moms with the light snap and go.

If you can pick up a snap and go second hand for little $$ or, better yet, borrow from a friend I definitely recommend doing that!

Re: Strollers - Newborn thru Toddler

Thank you for all the responses! such a huge help.

Still not sure if I should go with the uppa baby vista/vista cruz or combo of citi mini/snap and go, LOL, but at least I have a lot of opinions to consider.

I just dont want to get something and then have to get something else later on, I hate wasting money...

I have the Vista, and like it for all of the above reasons, but also because it grows with your family - I am pregnant with #2 now and can snap on the rumble seat for DD.

The biggest problem with the stroller is that is it is very bulky and hard to close. A snap and go base is way easier, but I found them to be way too low to the ground and the ride is not nearly as smooth.

We have a snap n go and a citi mini. LOVE the mini! You can also get the attachment so that it works as a snap n go too but I do like having the actual snap n go. I know many people who have the citi mini and rave about it which is why we went with it.

Re: Strollers - Newborn thru Toddler

I got the Britax b-agile with the b-safe car seat that clicks right in. The stroller is light, easy to fold, and will last through toddlerhood. Very similar to the city mini, but the bar adaptor on the city mini for the car seat seems high up and unsteady to me and made me nervous. Like that everything clicks into the b-agile.

We have the snap n go (although at 8 months we are nearing the end) and the City Mini. I adore the City Mini and it's really easy to bring out.

I have the Graco Quattro Tour and LOVE it. It holds the carrier as a NB and will be able to hold her until 50 pounds I think. Has a nice deep basket on the bottom. Very easy (one-hand) open and close. Folds to a very manageable size and has 3 or 4 positions for reclining. Have been very happy with it since Day 1.

i have the snap and go and the City Mini. We used the snap and go for the first few weeks DS was home, then put the infant seat attachment on the City Mini and i have been using it ever since! I cant wait till DS is a little bigger so he can just sit in the stroller itself!
