Decisions
I'm about to finish Grad school in May and our original plan was to wait until end of July to stop my BCP's so that it would give me time to find a job in my new field and get settled but I really really really want to stop them now and see what happens.
I already have a great job but I'm worried that if I get pregnant right away, I will have a huge belly and wont be able to get a job in my new field since most employers wont want to hire a prego.
I don't know what to do! Im so anxious to get started and really want a baby. I am so bored with my life right now and Im ready for a baby.
I need opinions... this is just going over and over in my head. One minute I say just to go for it and the next I tell myself I should really wait.

That's a tough one. I mean there's really no guarantee that you'll be able to find a job in your new field quickly. I hope you do, but you never know!
There's also no guarantee that you will get pregnant quickly.
I think if you and your DH are on the same page and you are financially stable then you should just go for it. There are just too many unknowns to wait for a specific month, imo.

There's also no guarantee that you will get pregnant quickly.

That's what I'm thinking. I just don't want to wait til graduation then have to wait for a new job and then have it take another year to even get pregnant. I've been on the pill for over 10 years also. I'm thinkning of just stopping it now, and then seeing what happens. We don't even have to try right away and just see what happens I think.
I do have to say that after I graduate, I have to take a board exam before I find a new job. Also my last semester of grad school will be pretty stressful. I will have to work 40 hour weeks with 16 extra hours of clinical rotations.

First, I wanted to say that you should not decide to have a baby because you're "so bored with your life right now." Babies aren't a form of entertainment. They are wonderful, but they are also a huge amount of work.
The second thing that caught my eye is that you will have to pass an exam, work 40 hour weeks + 16 hours of clinical rotations. Let me just say that pregnancy is tiring - especially in your first trimester. I could hardly stay awake past 8:30 at night. The idea of having to work my full time job plus doing a rotation AND studying on top of the sheer exhaustion of pregnancy makes me tired just thinking about it.
And lastly, FMLA will only kick in if you've been at your job for a year when you give birth. You might want to consider that when planning on getting pregnant. There's no guarantee that you'd get pregnant as soon as you went off the pill, but there's also no way to know that you won't.
How does your husband feel about this? You haven't mentioned that.

This is EXACTLY what i was thinking. I would probably wait until school was over. That sounds like a lot of work you will have on your plate next semester and if you are in your first semester and sick, it will be so hard for you. I know waiting 6 months until May sounds like forever, but maybe try coming off bcp in April instead. That's only 5 months instead and will ensure you can devote all your time and energy to finishing up your degree. Good luck with your decision!

1000000% agreed.
The only thing I'll add is that since you're on the pill, you can always try going off it but NOT ttc ... Just tracking your cycle so when you do eventually start, you have a good idea of what your natural cycle is like. It will also give your body plenty of time to regulate itself.
