Btdt twin moms-registry question

Hi ladies, my sister is pregnant with twins(boy and girl) and we are going to register soon. She wants to know what she should get doubles of and what can be shared. TIA!

Btdt twin moms-registry question

I think everyone does it differently. Some get one of each some get two and it really depends on the babies. For me I used two of everything. If finances and space allows I think two highchairs, bouncy seats, swings and jumperoos are very useful. I did get different styles of everything though so they had variety, especially the jumperoos.

Of course two highchairs - I use the ones that attach to your regular chairs, saves a TON of space in the kitchen, but if you have lots of room or a big family it could be nice to have real ones.

I might even go so far as to suggest if you get "real" high chairs to still possibly get a second set of the small ones that attach to chairs for visiting at grandma's or aunties house :o) I think they have ones that even fold up although mine don't. They are cheap enough at under 30.00 and you can use the 20% off BRU coupons on them too. It's nice to be able to sit down at dinner and not have to hold them on your lap or have them getting into stuff.

I used two swings and two vibrating and rocking bouncy seats. But not everyone gets two of each. I actually only asked for one of each on my registry to see what they liked but then I had to go back and get a second of each. You can start with one of each and see who likes what or get two of each but only open one at first. I liked having them in different rooms so that I had a place to put a baby down while taking care of a second baby. So like in my bedroom I had a rocking vibrating seat and regular vibrating seat. In my living room I had two different swings. Then once they were ready for it I replaced the two swings with two different jumperoos.

The jumperoos, one I bought for 120. the other was from a garage sale and was $15. Jumperoos and swings are pricey if I had it to do over again I would have got them all second hand. You can easily get second hand for big savings on craigslist or garage/tag sales (They only use all these things for such a short time so you can find some that look brand new). Sometimes you can find people selling stuff here on this board. So if no one buys them off the registry try to find them second hand and save a ton!

This is something I always tell people.... I have a big pet peeve about PJs that are all snaps. I HATE them. It's a real big pain being super sleep deprived and trying to snap a million snaps at 3 am. So my big tip for you is to buy only zippered pajamas. They are a million times faster to do zippers at 3 am. Childrens place often puts them on sale for $8. I personally didn't use a lot of sleep sacks after they turned 4 months because one of my babies started rolling over. I didn't want all the fabric to get her hung up and not be able to flip back over. Sleep sacks might be faster than zipper but if you are going to be buying a lot of feety pajamas suggest that they be with zippers :O)

2 fisher price bouncers were essential!!!!
