Did you get the whooping cough and flu vaccine?

I have been researching the whooping cough and i am leaning towards getting it but i am scared of having a reaction to the flu vaccine. I am due in November so it will be winter when the baby arrives.

I got whooping cough (as did DH and close family members who will be in contact with the baby) and plan on getting the flu as well. Both were recommended by my doctor.

I got the whooping cough booster in the hospital right before I was discharged after DS was born and I just made an appt. for DH to get it on Wednesday. The hospital suggested anyone that is going to be in close contact with the baby should go and get the booster

Just got the flu vaccine at my last OB appt. I'd never gotten it before, but the only 'reaction' I had was soreness at the injection site. I will get the whooping cough booster before being discharged from the hospital.

I am due in November as well and my doc just had me get the flu shot last week. Just a slightly sore arm afterwards.

Got my flu shot last week as well, already have an up to date pertussis shot...just FYI, it takes 3-4 weeks for your body to develop good antibodies to the shot so for your LO to get the immunity get it at least 3-4 weeks before they're due.
