Veneers

I need to have a veneer for my front tooth. I had chipped the tooth years ago, and get it bonded, but the bonding turns yellow so quickly and I HATE it.

I am looking for recs for a good dentist to go to to get this done. Thanks so much!

Can I ask you a question--I need veneers but my dentist is telling me since I have a "broad" smile, I need veneers on my front 6 teeth. How does it look with only 2 teeth? Does it look weird for your other teeth?

I have veneers on 4 teeth and not the front two. It looks GREAT. You do not need to do all of your teeth but it may depend on your mouth. I was originally going to do two teeth, but my dentist told me 4 would give me a better result. Best $$$$ I have ever spent on myself.

Re: Veneers

How much do veneers cost?

I'm seeing a new dentist next month and will be discussing veneers for my front teeth. I too have bonding that keeps discoloring and I keep getting re-bonded every couple years.

I also have the front four and am so glad I did it. It definitely gives a better result.

Re: Veneers

What's the procedure for this? Does it hurt, recovery time, anything need to be done in preparation? Most importantly what's the cost and does dental health insurance and/or FSA cover it?

I've had minimal conversations with my dentist about this. What I got out of it is that it's $$$$ and it seemed that you have to be careful about the number of teeth done because the veneers may not match all your other teeth. This was mentioned by some pps but I'm encouraged that others have only done some teeth and not all.

I wore braces as a kid and then got them again as an adult. I got them off almost five and a half years ago and am very good about wearing my retainers. I learned the hard way!

My two front teeth are wonky and the left overlaps the right. I actually replaced my top retainer a couple of months ago with a more heavy duty one but it doesn't seem to be doing anything more than my old one. Apparently, I need to be wearing it around the clock. No good at work because it's so heavy duty it actually makes me lisp! I can't be understood when I'm talking. DH thinks it's hilarious.

I think veneers for my two front teeth may be a good option. The overlap drives me absolutely crazy and would like a permanent fix. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had novacaine and sweet air and it was still agonizing. I don't know how celebs get whole mouthfuls.
