NO INSURANCE - please help

Hi everybody. I have a 01/13 delivery but have no insurance. Cannot get Medicaid because of slightly more income than needed, also cannot find any insurance taking pregnant woman. Can anybody please help with finding any solution? Is there any insurance taking pregnant woman, or you know about any affordable OB/GYN? I live in Lindenhurst-West Babylon area. All help will be appreciated. Thank you all.

Look into healthy new york or your local public hospital should have a sliding scale program. Did they do the household composition right when they determined you ineligble for medicaid? You count as 2 ppl.

NO INSURANCE - please help

Look if you qualify for family health plus. They have higher income levels then Medicaid. Also, as another poster mentioned, you count as 2 people since you are pregnant, so make sure it is calculated correctly. If you are still ineligible for family health plus look into healthy ny. That is the next level higher for subsidized insurance.

Good luck !!!

you can get healthy ny, you will just have to pay the premium if your income doesn't fall into the medicade catagory.
